ristrutturazione casa-negozio unifamiliare

d.072 single house renovation – Vertova (BG)
This intervention of renovation takes place in an apartment located on the first floor of a single-family home-shop, where the family shop is on the ground floor. Two new apartments have been created from the renovation project.
Let’s concentrate immediately on the characterizing element of the intervention: the wardrobe-divider that acts as a filter between the entrance and the open space living area and, at the same time, becomes a wardrobe/container that disengages the sleeping area. Thanks to its contained height, the partition allows the light to filter in and the spaces become fluid, creating a game of “camouflaged” depth that amplifies them and then continues towards the wall which divides the living and the parents bathroom. In fact, this internal partition has an “L” section that hosts, from the day side, a woodshed and bioethanol fireplace and on the side of the bathroom it acts as a support base for a custom made stone sink. The same game of wardrobe-divider was used in the bedroom to manage the spaces between the room itself and the walk-in closet.
The kitchen, tailor made in its entirety, develops from one side of full height columns and then descends into a peninsula that ends with an important convivium table, which becomes the heart of the house. As we said, the apartment is full of amplified spaces, which continue to expand further with the central living room door characterized by sliding retractable doors, which in summer leave the opening to the terrace completely free.
The lighting fixtures are designed to interact perfectly with the environment that hosts them and are made up of tracks integrated into the false ceilings, with cuts in the strategic points that flow to the wall to enlighten the rooms in depth. The studio extended to the custom furnishings, the materials palette, the coverings and wall panels in order to make this intervention unique in every single detail.
